What is Flux Protocol?

Flux Protocol is a decentralized, non-custodial digital asset mortgage lending protocol developed by the Zero One team. It allows users to deposit specific crypto assets to earn interest and to lend certain crypto assets by collateralizing their assets and paying interest. The protocol operates across multiple blockchains, including Conflux, Binance Smart Chain (BSC), Heco, OKExChain, and Ethereum, with plans to expand to other popular public chains such as Solana, Polygon, Arbitrum, and Near.

How Does Flux Protocol Work?

Flux Protocol enables users to deposit crypto assets into its currency market to earn interest. Users can also borrow certain crypto assets by providing collateral and paying interest. The protocol has improved upon existing models by enhancing its interest rate model, mortgage model, and liquidation logic, resulting in lower contract call costs, higher execution efficiency, and a better user experience.

What Makes Flux Protocol Unique?

Flux Protocol stands out due to its cross-chain interoperability, allowing seamless operations across multiple blockchains. It offers low transaction fees and has improved upon existing lending products by enhancing interest rate models, mortgage models, and liquidation logic. The protocol also emphasizes a decentralized, community-driven approach without outside investments, ensuring fair distribution and continuous development.

Who Are the Founders of Flux Protocol?

Flux Protocol was co-founded by Jasper De Gooijer and Peter Mitchell. Jasper began his blockchain journey working on proof-of-concept systems for major Dutch companies before transitioning into Plasma research. Peter established EveryDapp.com, a platform designed to rank and curate decentralized apps. They met in Berlin in 2018 and collaborated on their first project, leading to the creation of Flux Protocol.
