OpenPasskey: Project Guide | Latest Updates, Presale & Airdrop

Q: What is the Purpose of OpenPasskey?

The primary goal is to create a decentralized payment and loyalty rail that eliminates the high fees and data silos of traditional credit card networks, allowing merchants to keep more of their revenue.

Q: How Can I Participate in OpenPasskey's Ecosystem?

Users can participate by using the OpenPasskey 'magic box' at participating merchants to earn loyalty stamps or by providing liquidity to the OPK pools on the Base network.

Q: What Sets OpenPasskey Apart from Competitors?

Unlike other crypto payment apps that require a specific wallet or KYC, OpenPasskey works with any standard wallet and uses NFC/QR technology to make blockchain transactions feel like a regular card tap.

Q: Is OpenPasskey Secure?

Yes, the platform utilizes audited smart contracts on the Base network (Coinbase's L2) and leverages EIP-7212/ERC-4337 for secure, passwordless authentication via passkeys.

Q: What are the Risks Associated with OpenPasskey?

Risks include regulatory changes regarding stablecoin use in retail, merchant adoption hurdles, and the liquidity risk associated with new tokens. These are managed through a 10% risk and buffer reserve in the treasury.

OpenPasskey

AI Agent Payment AI

OpenPasskey is a decentralized payment settlement protocol built on the Base network that facilitates stablecoin transactions for both human users and autonomous AI agents. The infrastructure utilizes the ERC-681 standard to enable point-of-sale (POS) interactions via NFC or QR codes, bypassing traditional credit card rails and intermediaries.

What is OpenPasskey?

OpenPasskey is a loyalty-first, wallet-native commerce rail designed to replace traditional closed payment networks with an open scheme. Built on the Base Layer-2 network, it aims to unify retail loyalty and payments by allowing merchants and users to own the network. Its mission is to bring everyday physical retail on-chain, providing a seamless transition from legacy payment systems to stablecoin-based settlement.

How Does OpenPasskey Work?

The protocol operates using a 'SessionReceiver' for deterministic payment addresses and a 'ClearingVault' for automated clearing, fee distribution, and payouts. Users interact with the system by tapping an NFC device or scanning a QR code with any ERC-681 compatible wallet (like Coinbase Wallet or Bitget Wallet). The transaction settles on the Base blockchain in approximately 2 seconds, and merchants can have funds off-ramped into traditional fiat bank accounts via regulated stablecoin issuers.

What Makes OpenPasskey Unique?

OpenPasskey is unique because it integrates with existing physical retail hardware while bypassing traditional card network fees. It offers a flat 60 basis points (0.6%) fee, significantly lower than legacy providers like Square. Its 'magic box' terminal allows customers to earn loyalty points and pay with stablecoins without needing to install new apps, fill out forms, or undergo repetitive KYC at the point of sale.

Who Are the Founders of OpenPasskey?

The project was founded by Victor Jung, who serves as the lead. Jung has a background in Ethereum-based solutions dating back to 2017 and spent years researching how to bridge the gap between blockchain technology and everyday consumer behavior. The team is based in Sydney, Australia, and consists of experts in account abstraction (ERC-4337) and retail payment infrastructure.

Where to Buy OpenPasskey?

The OPK token is primarily traded on decentralized exchanges within the Base ecosystem, such as Uniswap. As the project matures, liquidity is expected to be incentivized through 20% of the treasury dedicated to AMM seeding and market-making incentives.

OpenPasskey Price

Daily Trading Volume

Trading volume is currently concentrated in private liquidity pools and early DEX pairs on Base, reflecting its early-stage adoption status.

All-Time High

Official historical price data from major aggregators like CoinMarketCap is currently limited due to the token's recent deployment on the Base mainnet.

All-Time Low

Price stability is currently managed through the protocol's buyback and distribution mechanisms funded by the 60 bps merchant fees.

Market Cap and Valuation

Market Cap

The market cap is in the early stages of discovery as the circulating supply is progressively released to merchants and users as loyalty rewards.

Fully Diluted Valuation

The FDV is based on a fixed total supply of OPK tokens, with 40% reserved for rewards and 30% for operations.

OpenPasskey Price Prediction

There are currently no available forecasts from reliable experts or financial publications regarding the future price of the OPK token. Most analysts focus on the protocol's utility as a settlement layer rather than its speculative value. Potential investors should monitor merchant adoption rates in Australia as a primary indicator of network value.
