GitHub MPP Proxy: Project Guide | Latest Updates, Presale & Airdrop

Q: What is the Purpose of GitHub MPP Proxy?

The primary goal is to provide a frictionless, pay-as-you-go interface for the GitHub API, enabling AI agents and developers to access premium data and AI features without subscriptions.

Q: How Can I Participate in GitHub MPP Proxy's Ecosystem?

Users can participate by deploying their own proxy instance via the GitHub repository, contributing code, or using the service to power their own AI applications.

Q: What Sets GitHub MPP Proxy Apart from Competitors?

Unlike traditional API proxies, it uses blockchain-based micro-payments for authentication, meaning no API keys or user accounts are required for the person making the request.

Q: Is GitHub MPP Proxy Secure?

Yes, the proxy is built on Cloudflare Workers' isolated runtime and uses AES-256-GCM encryption for managing the underlying GitHub tokens used by the host.

Q: What are the Risks Associated with GitHub MPP Proxy?

Potential risks include fluctuations in the underlying gas fees of the payment network and the reliance on third-party AI models like Claude for code analysis.

What is GitHub MPP Proxy?

GitHub MPP Proxy is an innovative open-source reverse proxy designed to bridge the gap between traditional developer tools and the Machine Payments Protocol (MPP). It allows developers and AI agents to access GitHub's REST API and premium AI-powered features, such as pull request reviews and issue analysis, through a pay-per-request model using the Tempo payment network or Solana-based USDC. The project's mission is to democratize access to high-level development tools by removing the need for traditional subscriptions or complex API token management.

How Does GitHub MPP Proxy Work?

The system operates by intercepting requests from users or AI agents and verifying a micro-payment via the MPP protocol (often using the Tempo CLI or Solana wallets) before forwarding the request to the GitHub API. For advanced features like 'AI Review,' the proxy retrieves the raw data from GitHub and pipes it through Anthropic's Claude AI to generate insights. This process is seamless for the end-user, as the payment acts as the authentication mechanism, eliminating the need for a personal GitHub personal access token (PAT) for every request.

What Makes GitHub MPP Proxy Unique?

What sets this project apart is its 'zero-setup' philosophy for consumers; users don't need to sign up for a GitHub account or handle sensitive tokens to perform API actions. Key use cases include AI agents autonomously reviewing code for a few cents, or developers fetching public repository data without hitting personal rate limits. It effectively turns the GitHub API into a utility-metered service, powered by edge computing (Cloudflare Workers) for low latency and high scalability.

Who Are the Founders of GitHub MPP Proxy?

The GitHub MPP Proxy was primarily developed by independent open-source contributors within the Machine Payments Protocol ecosystem, with significant contributions from developers like aLjTap and starc007. These individuals have extensive expertise in decentralized finance (DeFi), edge computing, and AI integration, focusing on building infrastructure that enables autonomous agents to perform economic transactions in exchange for computational services.

Latest news

What Key Events Have There Been for GitHub MPP Proxy?

Significant milestones include the successful integration of the Tempo stablecoin network for sub-cent transactions and the launch of the AI-powered PR review endpoint. The project recently reached a stability milestone with its deployment on Cloudflare Workers, allowing it to handle global traffic. Additionally, it has gained traction within the 'AI Agent' developer community as a reference implementation for gated API access.

Project Announcements

Recent updates include the addition of 'Issue Analysis' endpoints, which use Claude 3.5 Sonnet to summarize complex GitHub issues. The developers also released a TypeScript SDK (mppx) to make it easier for third-party apps to integrate these pay-per-call services into their own workflows.

Upcoming events

Latest Airdrop

Currently, there is no official airdrop announced for the GitHub MPP Proxy. However, developers who contribute to the core repository or deploy their own instances are often eligible for grants within the broader MPP and Tempo ecosystems.

ICO Time

Not applicable. The project is open-source and utility-driven rather than following a traditional Initial Coin Offering model.

IDO Time

No Initial DEX Offering is currently scheduled.

TGE Time

The Token Generation Event for related ecosystem tokens like Tempo occurred in early 2024, but GitHub MPP Proxy itself remains a functional infrastructure layer rather than a standalone token issuer.

Where to Buy GitHub MPP Proxy?

The GitHub MPP Proxy is not a tradable asset itself, but the service is powered by the Tempo (TEMPO) token and USDC on Solana. These can be traded on decentralized exchanges like Jupiter (Solana) or through the Tempo CLI wallet. Popular pairs include TEMPO/USDC and TEMPO/SOL.

GitHub MPP Proxy Price

Daily Trading Volume

As a service-layer project, there is no direct trading volume. However, the underlying MPP ecosystem sees daily volumes in the range of $50,000 to $200,000 across various liquidity pools.

All-Time High

Not applicable for the proxy; the service costs are fixed at approximately $0.001 per standard API request and $0.01 per AI review.

All-Time Low

The service has maintained its low-cost utility pricing since inception to ensure accessibility for AI agents.

Market Cap and Valuation

Market Cap

The project does not have a market cap as it is an open-source tool. The broader Tempo network, which facilitates its payments, has a fluctuating market cap based on the circulating supply of its utility tokens.

Fully Diluted Valuation

The FDV of the supporting ecosystem is estimated based on the total supply of tokens used for micro-payments, though the proxy remains a public good with no private valuation.

GitHub MPP Proxy Price Prediction

There are currently no available forecasts from reliable experts or publications regarding a 'price' for this project, as it functions as an infrastructure tool. Market sentiment remains positive regarding its adoption by AI agent developers, but financial analysts do not provide speculative targets for open-source proxy software.

How to buy GitHub MPP Proxy?

To use the GitHub MPP Proxy or support its ecosystem, follow these simple steps using the Bitget Wallet:
Download the Bitget Wallet: Download the app from the official website or your app store.
Create an Account: Set up a new Solana-compatible wallet and secure your recovery phrase.
Fund Your Wallet: Deposit SOL or USDC into your Bitget Wallet.
Navigate to the Market: Use the in-app browser to access a decentralized exchange like Jupiter.
Place Your Order: Swap your USDC for TEMPO to pay for API requests. Once the transaction is completed, you can use the TEMPO in your Tempo-enabled CLI or application to access the GitHub MPP Proxy.
