What is Cedro Finance?

Cedro Finance is a cross-chain decentralized liquidity protocol that enables users to lend and borrow assets across multiple blockchains with affordable transaction fees. Lenders can deposit their assets to contribute to the platform's liquidity, while borrowers can access these funds in an overcollateralized manner. The project's mission is to provide a seamless user experience for cross-chain transactions without compromising security.

How Does Cedro Finance Work?

Cedro Finance operates through a modular architecture consisting of three main components: Branch, COMPA, and Root. The Branch is deployed across multiple chains and serves as the primary point of interaction for users' deposit and repay operations. COMPA is a stack of cross-chain messaging protocols that selects the most efficient protocol for each transaction based on factors like cost, speed, and security. The Root is deployed on a single chain and acts as the protocol's brain, storing global states and facilitating cross-chain interactions. This design allows for scalable and efficient cross-chain lending and borrowing.

What Makes Cedro Finance Unique?

Cedro Finance stands out due to its Cedro Unified Liquidity Token (CULT) feature, which virtually merges the liquidity of multi-chain assets across different blockchains. This approach addresses liquidity fragmentation and enhances capital efficiency. Additionally, the platform offers isolated market pools to support riskier assets and employs computation offloading to reduce transaction costs, providing a superior user experience.

Who Are the Founders of Cedro Finance?

Cedro Finance was founded by Rachin Kalakheti in June 2022. Kalakheti, a Stanford undergraduate at the time, identified the need for a more streamlined user experience in cross-chain transactions and aimed to reduce the complexity and inefficiency associated with existing processes.
