Q: What is the Purpose of Tokel?

The purpose of Tlock is to create a decentralized social media environment where users can securely interact, publish content, build reputation, and be rewarded for their contribution without centralized control, censorship, or opaque algorithms.

Q: How Can I Participate in Tokel's Ecosystem?

Users can participate by visiting the official website or using Tlock-compatible wallets, creating an on-chain profile, engaging with content, posting updates, and earning reputation or rewards. Community participation is also available through Telegram and Twitter channels.

Q: What Sets Tokel Apart from Competitors?

Tlock’s focus on a fully on-chain infrastructure with Sybil-resistant reputation, decentralized search, personalized feeds, and transparent ad mechanisms distinguishes it from other Web3 social media platforms that rely partly on centralized services or off-chain indexing.

Q: What are the Risks Associated with Tokel?

Risks include general blockchain adoption uncertainties, potential volatility of any native utility tokens or reward mechanisms, smart contract vulnerabilities, and the early stage nature of Web3 social platforms. As with all decentralized apps, users should conduct their own research before engaging deeply.

What is Tokel?

Tlock is an application-specific blockchain built using the Cosmos SDK that enables a fully decentralized social media ecosystem. The platform emphasizes free speech, on-chain reputation scores that are resistant to Sybil attacks, millisecond-fast on-chain search, personalized feeds, and transparent ad bidding. Users interact, post, and engage entirely on-chain.

How Does Tokel Work?

Tlock operates by storing social interactions, content, and reputation data directly on the blockchain. Users can create profiles, publish stories, connect with others, and react to posts. Each action triggers on-chain sorting and indexing of content based on reputation scores and relevance, enabling instant search and customized feeds without reliance on off-chain services. Gas fees for actions may be subsidized via periodic allowances.

What Makes Tokel Unique?

Tlock’s on-chain reputation layer makes it economically expensive for bad actors to game the system, providing Sybil resistance. Instant on-chain searches and personalized content feeds are stored and validated on the blockchain, differing from traditional social networks that keep these functions centralized. Additionally, transparent ad bidding on chain and token-based content rewards give users more control and ownership of their activity.

Who Are the Founders of Tokel?

The official documentation does not list specific founder names publicly. However, the project is an open-source initiative developed with community involvement and built with the Cosmos SDK. Official community channels and documentation (GitHub, Telegram) offer information about contributors. (founders not widely published as of current information)
